Efficiency Works is a professional services firm and a Registered Training Organisation that focuses on providing business improvement support to a wide range of industries. Our services are based on providing on-the-job training and support, either through our nationally-accredited Competitive Systems and Practices (CS&P) course, through targeted business improvement projects or through our mentoring services. Our goal is to build internal capability inside our clients' organisations, and our preference is to provide on-the-job training and support for improvement projects as it directly reinforces learning, engages employees with the change agenda, and provides a rapid and sustainable return on investment. Our training and support is used widely across manufacturing and service industries.
Our fully supported and nationally-accredited Competitive Systems & Practices courses are available online or onsite at Certificate III, Certificate IV, and Diploma level qualifications. Certificate IV is our most popular course and is a foundation course should students wish to progress to the Diploma qualification. In general, Certificate III is for competencies in ‘doing’, Certificate IV for ‘managing’ and the Diploma is for ‘leading’. Efficiency Works also offers a Dual Qualification comprising Certificate IV in Competitive Systems & Practices and Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. All of these courses involve on-the-job training and require students to complete improvement projects that demonstrate learning, thereby providing a very strong return on investment for host organisations. The onsite courses have a minimum requirement of 8 students however there is no minimum student number requirement for our online courses.
We also deliver a wide range of other packaged and customised training support, from 1-day workshops in a variety of Lean topics through to a 6 or 7-day Introduction to Lean training program suitable for frontline teams through to senior leadership teams. We also deliver Lean implementation support for our clients, in some cases spanning many years. This support can be used for groups or individuals, and often incorporates the delivery of facilitated training in combination with support, coaching and mentoring for frontline team members and team leaders or management and senior leadership teams including the CEO and other C-suite Leaders.
We have a partnering approach to business, tailoring our trainers and consultants to match the organisation’s culture, and tailoring our solutions to meet the organisation’s needs, focusing on transferring knowledge and skills to reduce the ongoing reliance on external support. We also provide a significant level of business improvement support to the local government sector as they prepare their businesses for extensive structural and cultural change.
We have made a substantial impact on our clients’ businesses and have delivered tangible improvements that include cost reductions, increased workforce capacity, raised service levels, improved asset performance, reduced working capital and importantly, enhanced cultures. We have the capability and capacity to support individual or enterprise-wide business improvement projects.
