Producing a newsletter gives us an opportunity to share what is happening in the business with our customers, but also provides time to reflect on the past few months. We have achieved so much since our rebranding in September, through the hard work and dedication of the team, so a big shout out guys, great work. Also a big thank you for our members and partners who have continued to support us through the transition, and will now reap the rewards of being part of Australia's Premier Industry Network.
We are very much back in "business as usual" mode, with a high focus on growing our network, to assist us with this we have taken on an extra person in QLD, where we are already announcing new members that are coming onboard.
In this edition, we focus on the release of two new products creating more membership benefits, a celebration of our long-standing members, Evolve2 Leadership, partner focus, events, blogs and more.
So please enjoy this bumper edition and take time to reflect on your successes over the past few months.

IPA UPDATES
New Staff
Welcome David!
Fantastic news for our QLD team as David Mitchell has come on board as Business Development Manager.
We are continuing our growth and building on the success of our great team! 👍
New IPA Products
As you are aware, 2020 has been quite a challenge, for some more than others. Thanks to the help from our Government and the continued support of our members and partners, we have been using this 'quiet time' to develop some incredible products to help support our members more than ever.
Please take the time to understand each product and how it may be of benefit to you and/or your company. We sincerely hope this brings you even greater benefits of being a member of Industry Partners Australia.
IPA Connect
IPA Connect is a specialist program designed for displaced leaders within industry.
The program runs for 6 months and intended to create a critical network to enable participants to potentially find their new role.

MEMBER FOCUS
New Members
At Industry Partners Australia we are always excited when new members join our 'family'. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the following companies. Please be sure to make them welcome at your next IPA event.
Nothing quite validates a membership based product more than long-standing members! At the end of each year, we would like to celebrate all those companies that have reached milestones and supported us over the years. Considering this is the very first appearance to make it to the newsletter, please excuse the lengthy list this year!
We are nearing the end of our 2020 leadership program delivery of Evolve2 Leadership (formerly known as 'The Edge') . We would like to make special mention of the leaders in our membership who have voluntarily shared their own personal leadership journey and insights with our participants far in 2020.
This is a unique and valuable part of our sessions and it is rewarding to see leaders giving back to others. A very big shout-out to the leaders in following companies. You know who you are!
From our NSW Sessions
Actron Air, ARTC, CHEP, Coca-Cola Amatil, Devro, Opal Fibre, Opal Paper, Quickstep, Tip Top, Rheem and Visy Glass (O-I Glass).
From our QLD Sessions
Arnott's, ATCO Structures & Logistics, Bayer Cropscience, CHEP, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, Glencore Technology, GroundProbe, Mylan, Origin Energy, Real Pet Food, Visy Glass (O-I Glass) and Wilmar.
With the onset of Covid-19 this year, all our events were moved online to the Zoom platform. Given the nature of our events, it was a massive task to transform 'on the fly' but the feedback from attendees has been fantastic and we would like to thank you for your continued support over this crazy and unsettling period.
Although the Zoom events have been a good replacement and work well with our remote attendees, we are very excited to see the day we can start getting back to running our events at member sites.
Keep an eye on the calendar to see them start trickling back in 2021.
Bring on the new norm!

Highlights From Past Events
QLD Working Group
Breakthrough Conversations
Who enjoys those difficult conversations that we are obligated to have from time to time? Not many of us, it would seem!
However, for twenty-fourattendees from seventeen of our members, this daunting task should now be a little easier.
In October this year, we were treated to an excellent workshop on Breakthrough Conversations hosted by Geoff Flemming from VitalSmarts Australia/NZ who shared with us a very engaging presentation on how best to approach this sensitive topic. Geoff’s presentation style was highly interactive, challenging the participants to think about the Hazardous Half-Minute, defining the gap, determining intent and starting with the facts.
Though online, the event had the ‘feel’ of a live workshop with considerable input from our participants. We even learned about a whole new way to approach CPR!
Another IPA event with great networking and knowledge exchange that I am sure will lead to more harmonious workplaces within our membership base.

NSW Working Group
Gemba Walks
Our Gemba Walks Working Group meeting in September was a hit with a great presentation from Gavan Scaroni, Continuous Improvement Manager for Thales, Eagle Farm, QLD site.
Gavan draws upon his Japanese experience and LEAN knowledge to improve his workplace and like all good leaders has a Kaizen mindset and is passionate about sharing with others so they can also improve.
This was such a relevant topic for IPA members, and we had a great turnout with some valuable insights shared on the day amongst members.
Gemba – the actual place where value is added.
Where leaders see in action the decisions, directions, and policies they have put in place.
Thanks to all who attended with a passion to improve their own GEMBA walks.
