IPA Newsletter September 2023

Written by Lana May | 4 Sep 2023, 08:15 PM

Welcome to the September 2023 edition of the Industry Partners Australia newsletter.

With interest rates rising and the economy starting to slow down, we are seeing organisations under scrutiny regarding costs and expenditures. Over my 32 years in Australian industry, I have seen many of these cycles, and at some stage, they turn around. During these cycles, great leaders protect and retain the really good people in their business; these are the ones you look to on a daily basis for support. IPA is currently working in conjunction with members, providing just one element of their retention strategy by creating learning opportunities and engagement for individuals.

We continue our growth across all three markets (QLD, NSW & VIC), with a high emphasis on diversity of the membership, ensuring our members are gaining a broad spectrum of experiences. This quarter saw 639 attendees from 131 companies attend our events, which will no doubt be eclipsed once again next quarter.

These are exciting times, so get the best out of your IPA membership.

MEMBER REFERRALS

Being a member of IPA has many benefits, one being the ability to learn from other member companies within our network. We find it extremely rewarding to facilitate these connections, enabling this resource.

If you have any business issues that need to be resolved, remember that other companies have more than likely been through the same challenges and can help point you in the right direction. Please reach out to your IPA contact to see if we know of someone who can potentially help.

Quarterly Triumphs: Industry Partners Australia's Unforgettable Events

In the past quarter, Industry Partners Australia orchestrated a series of impactful events, underscoring our dedication to knowledge exchange and collaboration. Our journey spanned three states - Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria - leaving an indelible mark on the industrial landscape.

One standout was the NSW Leaders Retreat featuring future of work expert Kim Seeling Smith. With post-COVID talent attraction insights, Kim guided attendees through transformative insights and actionable strategies. Enhanced by a networking dinner, the Hunter Valley setting fostered invaluable peer-to-peer exchanges, enriching everyone’s experience.

We proudly accomplished two intake cycles of our Evolve2 Leadership program, culminating in presentation days held in both QLD and NSW.

Our commitment to quality events persisted, including Senior Leader dinners in QLD and NSW, site tours in QLD, NSW and VIC, online events, and larger state forums.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who participated, hosted, and shared their knowledge. Your collective efforts have been instrumental in successfully enriching the Australian industrial landscape through these events.

John Smith; National Operations Manager

With the support of our member companies graciously hosting and presenting at our events, our members are given the opportunity to learn from their peers. This quarter, we would like to recognise and thank the following companies for their support.
