Welcome to the June 2021 edition of the Industry Partners Australia newsletter.
Wow, the year is flying by! The EOFY is rushing towards us, the vaccine rollout is in play, and we are all looking at Victoria with our fingers crossed!
All the while, our Working Groups, Masterclasses, Conversations, Forums, Dinners, and Leadership Training Programs power ahead.
This second quarter has seen some significant events, as this newsletter highlights. In March, the Leaders Retreat saw 30 senior leaders attend, network, and discuss key aspects of what it means to lead in an ever-increasing complex environment.
We continue to grow and bring new organisations into the IPA community. Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in our events, share your expertise and learn from others.
Join in on the conversations with others, for that is where solutions begin!

QLD Senior Leader Dinner
The topic: “Human Connection in the Workplace” with Guest Speaker Rowan Wallace-Hill from Human Factor.
The feedback has been very positive, with much appreciation for the topic, presentation by Rowan and for the event itself.
It is evident that human connection and emotions within the workplace are relevant and essential topics of conversation. Worthy of note is that the comments, though similar, were from different businesses and industry.
We are grateful to our members and prospective members who, in an ever-busy schedule, took time out to have some fun and enjoy an evening out with other like-minded senior professionals.
NSW Working Group
Thank you to Michael Conyers, Director of Operation at Zip Water and his colleagues Glenn Bucknell, Operations Manager and James Martin, Project Manager, for hosting Industry Partners Australia for our Working Group event on strategy and execution last month.
Mike shared their strategy deployment process that delivers outstanding results for their organisation and the link to their SCRUM process that is helping them execute their strategic objectives. We appreciated the way he connected their SDP with 5S for leaders. It was a very thought-provoking day.
This was our first Working Group hybrid event. We had face-to-face participation on-site, with some of our members more geographically challenged 'Zooming' into the discussions and presentations. It was excellent to see the attendees deep in conversations as they obtained some great insights from the day to take back to their workplace.
Solutions really do start with a conversation!
Concluding the day with a site tour of the plant led by Glenn and their SCRUM room led by Kevin Moult, Product Development Manager, there were many reasons to be grateful to be back on site for our members.
NSW Evolve2 Presentation Morning
The look of success!
Industry Partners Australia would like to thank the participants of our Evolve2 Leadership Program and their leaders who attended our presentation morning on 27 May.
We had a mix of Engineers, Supply Chain, Team Leaders, Quality and Production Leaders, providing a fantastic diversity for networking and sharing throughout the six sessions over five months of the program.
This presentation morning was their opportunity to share with all the sponsors their insights on how the program has helped develop their leadership capability.
We also thank the industry leaders from our membership who shared their personal leadership journeys with this group throughout the sessions and the sites that hosted our events.
If you want real leadership development of your people, then this program is for you.
